Dr. Lou received his bachelor's from the University of Texas and his doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He now serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Houston College of Optometry as he trains fourth-year Optometry students during their externship rotation. Dr. Lou was just voted BEST OPTOMETRIST 2009 by the Hill Country News Best of the Best. Additionally, Dr. Lou has an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist license. His awards include twice being named one of "America's Top Optometrists" by the Consumers Research Council of America. Dr. Lou has extensive training in treating eye diseases, prescribing eyewear to match your lifestyle, fitting specialty contact lenses, and managing surgeries such as Cataracts and LASIK.

Dr. Lou has performed international optometric community service work in Lithuania, Nicaragua, and Mexico. Dr. Lou served as the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce Chairman in 2005-2006 and served on the board of directors for four years. He is also a proud graduate of the 2003 Leadership Cedar Park Class and a current Leadership Alumni. Additionally, Dr. Lou served as a deacon for Austin Chinese Church. He has a wife named Julia, a toddler named Phillip, and a baby girl named Carmel. When not spending time with his family, Dr. Lou enjoys playing basketball, tennis, movie-watching, and traveling as he has been to over 20 countries.

Dr. Shahen Hashim joined the Signature Eyecare Team in March 2010, moving from Toronto, Canada, her home town. She received her Honors Bachelor degree and her doctorate from the University of Waterloo, located in Ontario, Canada. Throughout her educational career she received numerous awards including the Prize for Academic Excellence in Ocular Pharmacology, the Essilor Award, the Alcon continuing professional education award, and the Advanced Medical Optics Prize.

Dr. Hashim entered into private practice after graduating in 2006. Her areas of interest include contact lens and cornea as well as pediatrics. She also comanages in surgeries including Cataracts and LASIK. Dr. Hashim moved to Austin, Texas in November 2009 to join her husband here who practices in Cedar Park as a nephrologist. During her free time she enjoys travelling and listening to live music.

Dr. Stephanie Colorado loves what she is doing.“I honestly love my job as an optometrist! I enjoy restoring vision and educating patients concerning their eye health! I’m ecstatic to join Signature Eyecare and eager to begin my career as an optometrist in Austin!”- Dr. Colorado

Stephanie Colorado received her bachelor’s of Science at the University of Texas at Austin in 2006. In May of 2010, Stephanie received her doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She is currently licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and a Glaucoma Certified Specialist. She is also a participant in the InfantSEE program, providing free eye exams to infants 6-12 months of age.

Dr. Colorado is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and Central Texas Optometric Society. As an undergraduate student at UT-Austin, Dr. Colorado played a key role in donation of more than 200 donated, free eye examinations to indigent individuals enrolled in the Prevent Blindness Texas program in the greater Austin area.

Dr. Colorado’s specialty clinics in Houston included Pre/Post Cataract Clinic, Corneal Clinic, and Pediatric Strabismus Surgery. Her externships in Austin enabled her to co-manage cataract and refractive surgeries.

As a native Texan, Dr. Colorado lives in Westlake with her daughter, Marissa. They enjoy kayaking and hiking at the Barton Creek Greenbelt

Trevor Morrison, ABO, attended Angelo State University. Trevor received his America Board of Opticianry Certification in 1999. He has over nine years experience in the optical industry. He served as the treasurer and a board member of the Texas Paraoptometric Association.

Trevor specializes in selecting frames to match a patient's lifestyle. Additionally, he is skilled in finishing optical lenses in order to provide Signature Eye Care patients with the highest quality lenses in a convenient time frame. Trevor is involved in vision screenings, health fairs, and adjusting eyeglasses for members of the community. He completed the 2004 Leadership Cedar Park Class and is currently a Leadership Alumni Member. His hobbies include cycling, being a car enthusiast (Go Mopar!!), and a coffee connoisseur (Columbian, Espresso, or French Roast?). He's also a devoted Father to his 4 children including his newborn girl, Iria.

Brittany Taylor, CPO, is a certified paraoptometric assistant and contact lens specialist. She has been in the eye care field for over four years. Out of high school she attended National Institute of Technology for medical administrative assistant and insurance billing. She has since used her experience from NIT and combined that with her interest in working with patients to become an optometric assistant and contact lens specialist.

She is currently a participant in the 2009-2010 Cedar Park Leadership class. When Brittany is not working, she loves spending her time with her son Cohen at the pool and park. When she has the chance she loves to go out dancing with friends, dining out, and spending time watching movies with her friends and family.

James Kerekes, ABO, is a certified optician originally from Michigan and attended Wayne County Community College in the Criminal Justice program. After Joining the United States Army in 2002, he was moved to Fort Hood, Texas. After serving as a Cavalry Scout during multiple combat deployments to the Middle East, he decided to make Texas his home. Interested in the medical field, he found a place with the Signature Eye Care family as an Optical Technician. James specializes in fabricating and finishing prescription lenses, thus he is currently studying to take the ABOA test in November 2009 to become an advanced certified optician. Additionally, he is currently attending the Leadership Cedar Park Class of 2009-2010.

James is well versed in providing a fun preliminary examination and aiding in a frame selection that fits your lifestyle best. He works hard to help make your time with Signature Eye Care a pleasurable experience. James enjoys socializing, gaming, and always loves to meet all kinds of new people. Crystal Valadez, CPO, is often the first voice you will hear when calling Signature Eye Care. She is a certified paraoptometric assistant, receptionist, and the insurance specialist. She currently attends Virginia College for her degree in Medical Billing and Coding Business Management. She has been in the eye care field for over four years. She is pursuing her 2nd level Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CPOA) license in the near future. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and her family. When she has the time, she loves to watch the Texas Longhorns play football, watch movies, writes poetry, loves baking, and loves to shop
